Congratulations are in order for one of the amazing educators within Rio Rancho Public Schools. We are proud to announce that Puesta del Sol Elementary School Art Teacher and Elementary Art Content Leader Jocelyn Salaz has been selected to receive the prestigious National Edwin Ziegfield Award.
The Annual Edwin Ziegfeld Awards from the U.S. Society for Education through Art honor distinguished leaders who have made significant contributions to the National and International fields of art education. Just two Ziegfeld Awards will be presented each year. One national award to honor an art educator from within the United States and one international award to honor a colleague from outside the United States.
We are so proud that one of our very own art teacher was selected as the National honoree. Ms. Salaz's dedication to her students does not go unnoticed and we are so lucky to have her education children at Puesta del Sol Elementary School.
